Adenium Dry

Adenium Dry

I knew that adenium grow is intensive only during the warm months. But my first winter as an adenium owner was really restless.

When the weather became cold, I reduced watering of my desert rose. Soon soil became completely dry and wrinkles on the caudex appeared. Did my adenium dry too much? Should I water it more often? But excess water could cause root rotting. I checked my dear adenium every day, but couldn’t find answers to my questions.

At last the weather became warmer and it was ideal time for repotting my plant. I could examine its roots carefully and find out all details about its condition. The roots were not rotting. That was wonderful news!

When spring came, I began to water my desert rose once per few days. Soon all wrinkles on my adenium disappeared. And it looked fascinating again!
